Te Radar's Cookbookery - REGIONAL

Te Radar presents a comedic celebration of the beloved and bizarre cookbooks from New Zealand’s past, served with a side of sumptuous vintage food photography. It’s hilarious, nostalgic and potentially stomach-churning!

This hilarious dive into our rich (and strange) home cooking heritage revisits culinary icons like Graham Kerr, Alison Holst, Aunt Daisy and Hudson & Halls, alongside the fearless everyday New Zealanders who did things to food that really shouldn’t have been done.

Why was mutton disguised as poultry? Were fried brains truly for children? And is Recipes With Canned Foods Are Interesting the nation’s greatest cookbook?

Fortunately, no food is served by Te Radar during the show. However, bring along your favourite supper dish to share. There will a competition for best plate!
